The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to the launch of the European Business in China – Position Paper 2017/2018.
The European Business in China – Position Paper (Position Paper) is the European Chamber’s primary annual publication. The 17th edition of the Position Paper offers Chinese policy-makers several hundred constructive recommendations that draw directly from the knowledge and expertise of the European Chamber’s more than 1,600 member companies.
In this year’s paper, the Chamber evaluates how the Chinese authorities have so far lived up to the commitments to economic globalisation and openness expressed during President Xi’s speech at the World Economic Forum. It also looks at the pace of implementation of State Council Document No. 5, which was released in January 2017 and includes 20 points organised under three themes:
1. Take further steps to open up to the outside.
2. Further create an environment of fair competition.
3. Further strengthen efforts to attract foreign investment.
