Dear members and friends,
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Shenyang Chapter is delighted to invite you to the Seminar on the Outlook for Economic Policy of 19th Party Congress in English on the afternoon of 8th November at Room Lian on the 2nd floor of Sofitel Shenyang Lido.
While much of the focus around the congress has been on personnel decisions and the enshrinement of XiJinping's name in the Party constitution, equally if not more important was the adoption of major planks of Xi Jinping's platform into the constitution. Supply-side structural reform and the Belt and Road Initiative are now the law of the land. Our speaker will discuss the implications of those moves for the economy, financial markets and for businesses in China. He will also discuss the likelihood of economic reform given these developments.

Mr. Andrew Polk is a co-founder at Trivium/China and head of the firm’s economic research. He was previously director of China research at Medley Global Advisors and resident economist at the Conference Board's China Center.
