China’s Belt and Road Initiative will have significant positive impacts for its participating countries. Proposed by President Xi Jinping in 2013, to date, China has pledged over $124 bn in investment and infrastructure projects for the Initiative- promoting development for the participating countries and creating new opportunities.
The 2018 Belt and Road Development Summit hosted by the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University will explore the economic and development potential of the countries along the Belt and Road. Renowned experts, government officials and industry leaders will draw from successful Belt and Road projects over the past five years to provide in-depth insights into how countries can strategically leverage the Initiative for mutual gain.
