The Cybersecurity Sub-working Group is pleased to invite you to its upcoming meeting on Friday 30 March, 2018, from 14h to 16h, at the European Chamber Beijing and Shanghai Offices. The Cybersecurity Sub-working Group will take this opportunity to review its 2017 activities, discuss the current status of Cybersecurity Law implementation which may vary across sectors and cities, and come up with its 2018/2019 Position Paper outline. As always, we encourage as many of our members as possible to attend to have their say in the leadership and agenda of the working group in the year ahead.

Elections
Following the call for candidacy for the Chair and Vice Chair positions, the Cybersecurity Sub-working Group is pleased to announce that the following individuals have put their names forward for this year’s chair elections:
One Chair Position

One Vice Chair Position
Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright Beijing Office
This year the sub-working group is going to elect one Chair and one Vice Chair. The Chair shall play a key role in driving the development of the Group. With support from the appointed Business Managers (BM), he or she shall promote the Group’s activities and communicate targeted messages on behalf of industry to policy makers and key stakeholders in China and Europe. The Chair shall also serve as spokesperson to raise the Group’s visibility in the media and at relevant events when appropriate. The Vice Chair shall play a supporting role to the Chair of the Group. The Vice Chair assists the Chair when needed in driving the development of the Group and can also represent the Group in communicating messages to policy makers and stakeholders in China and Europe. In the absence of the Chair, the Vice Chair shall take over the responsibilities of the Chair.
In accordance with European Chamber internal guidelines, voting for the elections, one vote per company, must be conducted in person at the sub-working group meeting after each candidate has had the opportunity to give a short speech on why they would like to run for election. The duration of the term for both the Chair and the Vice Chair is one year. All elected Chairpersons must sign the attached Code of Conduct.
