On 28th November 2017, a new set of rules for R-visas titled the Implementation Measures regarding Foreign Talent Visa System was released and nine provinces, including Beijing, were listed as the first areas to pilot these new visa rules. Jointly organised with FESCO, and a number of foreign chambers, this seminar will clarify some of the new and exciting applications these new rules will have on foreign businesses operating in China. Despite its purpose being to ostensibly clear up some of the ambiguity surrounding the type of visa issued to select foreign talent, some questions remain. What does China consider to be high-level talent? What exactly are the benefits for foreign businesses that apply for an R-visa?
To answer some of these questions, we are delighted to welcome officials from the Beijing Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs to hopefully interpret this new policy and provide businesses with a clear picture on how these new rules will impact the acquisition of foreign talent.
