In line with our Articles of Association:
1) Members may vote electronically in advance of the election. Primary users received the voting link on 7th May directly to their registered e-mail account. E-voting will close 9th May 6pm.
As candidates will introduce their platform in person on May 10th at the AGM, the returning officer strongly encourages members to attend, hear from candidates, and vote in the AGM in person. In the event you cannot join please submit a valid proxy form or vote electronically. For further information regarding proxy forms or e-voting please contact Graeme Wallace gwallace@europeanchamber.com.cn
2) All corporate members, including those who are not headquartered in the European Union, are eligible to vote.
Who can vote in the election?
You can vote in the by-election if you:
1) are the primary user (the main contact between the European Chamber and your company), or
2) are an individual member
Who can attend the board election meeting?
All members including those who do not meet the requirements for voting and standing for election, have the right to participate. However, only members who meet the above mentioned criteria can vote or run for election.
How can I vote?
There are three ways to vote:
1) In person by secret ballot at the election venue. Please note that even if you have voting rights confirmed by the secretariat of the Chamber, you must have registered for the AGM by 6:00pm on Wednesday 9th May 2018 in order to exercise this vote. To register for the AGM and confirm your voting eligibility please contact Graeme Wallace at gwallace@europeanchamber.com.cn
2) Electronic voting by following a designated link using your European Chamber user account email. Please note that the voting information was sent to the primary user of your company after the candidates were confirmed. E-voting closes 9th May 6pm.
If you vote in advance by electronic voting you will not receive a ballot should you also attend the AGM.
3) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by 6:00pm on Wednesday 9th May 2018. Please fill in the proxy form and send a scanned copy to Graeme Wallace at gwallace@europeanchamber.com.cn, by fax to 010 64622067, or in person at the Chamber office located at Office C412, Beijing Lufthansa Center, 50 Liangmaqiao Road, Beijing.
The proxy must be a colleague from your own legal entity and must be present to vote. This requirement has only two exceptions:
1) individual members
2) primary members based outside Beijing without an additional membership in Beijing
In such cases, these members may give their proxy to another individual/corporate member with voting rights.
Proxies received after the deadline and in a format different from those listed above will not be accepted.
