The European Chamber Southwest Chapter is delighted to invite members and friends to attend the 2018 Europe Day Party which is to be held on May 10th 2018, Thursday in Chengdu and co-organized by EUCCC, Consuletes General of EU in Chengdu & Chongqing, and EUPIC.

中国欧盟商会西南分会诚邀您参加将于2018年5月10日（星期四）举办的“2018欧洲日庆典”。本次庆典由中国欧盟商会、欧盟国家驻蓉、驻渝总领事馆及欧盟项目创新中心联合举办。

This year's Europe Day marks the celebration of the 68th anniversary of the 1950 "Schuman Declaration" which laid the foundations of what is today the European Union. The Europe day and this double celebration is one of the annual highlights of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China. It provides a platform for the European, local and international Business community to expand and strengthen their networks in a casual atmosphere. During the Europe day, all EU embassies and consulates around the world will celebrate together the birth of European Union through cultural activities and festivities.

今年的“欧洲日”是庆祝“舒曼宣言”的第68个年头，中国欧盟商会欲借此庆典活动为本地、欧洲及国际商务人士搭建起认识、沟通和联谊的平台。

Background 欧洲日简介

On the 9th of May 1950, then French Foreign Minister Robert Schuman presented his proposal for the creation of an organized Europe, indispensable to the maintenance of peaceful relations. The proposal, known as the “Schuman Declaration” is considered to be the beginning of the creation of what is now the European Union with its 28 member countries. The 9th of May has become a European symbol (Europe Day), which, along with the flag, the anthem, the motto and the single currency (the Euro), identifies the political entity of the European Union. The European Day is the occasion for activities and festivities that bring Europe closer to its citizens and people.

1950年5月9日，罗贝尔•舒曼（时任法国外交部长）为了维护不可或缺的和平关系，提出建议一个有组织的欧洲。这个后来称为“舒曼宣言”的提议被认为是建议如今欧盟（28个成员国）的开始。 因此，除了旗帜、歌曲、座右铭和单一货币（欧元）代表了欧洲联盟的政治实体之外，5月9日同样成为了欧洲标志（欧洲日）。通过欧洲日举办的活动和庆祝，使欧洲人民走得更近。在“欧洲日”，欧盟及成员国驻外使领馆通过举行丰富多彩的文化交流活动，共同庆祝欧洲一体化。

Cancellation Policy 取消报名

If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than one business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify us of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will be charged for event costs.
