China’s intention to become a major technological power and its huge bilateral trade surpluses with the US and Europe have generated tensions with the West. Should China’s innovation strategy be seen as a threat to the economic well-being of Europe and the United States? How do these issues relate to the ongoing concerns about trade wars?
The European Chamber is delighted to welcome back Dr Yukon Huang, senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment and a former World Bank Director for China, to share his take on these pressing issues. Dr Huang's is a leading expert on China-US relations and an 'A-list commentator' for the Financial Times on China. His annual visit to the Chamber is always one of the highlights of the event calendar.
