Dear CSR Working Group Member,
The European Chamber would like to invite you to a seminar on "Engaging with NGOs" on Thursday, 17th April.
"Engage" is today's buzzword, but what does it really mean? Chinese and International NGOs are increasingly active domestically, while NGOs abroad are paying more attention to corporate behavior in China. NGOs can be our partners, advisors, advocates, and critics, so it's no wonder that companies are hesitant to engage, despite the critical need to do so.
Please join us for an informal and interactive seminar led by NGO and corporate representatives experienced in "interpreting" the different languages used by civil society and business. We'll consider questions such as: How do you begin a dialogue? How do you control expectations? How do you maximize the value of a joint project for both partners? How do you improve external communications about your partnership?
