Dear Working Group Members,
The European Chamber cordially invites you to the next Human Resources Working Group meeting taking place on Thursday, September 20th, 2018, from 09:30 to 11:00, at our Shanghai office.
In view of the European Chamber’s upcoming EU Tour and the launching this September of the 2018/2019 Position Paper, as well as of the newly adopted revisions to the PRC Individual Income Tax Law, this will be a discussion-based regular working group meeting aiming at gathering input from members on their most pressing current concerns.
This September, the 2018/2019 European Business in China Position Paper (Position Paper) will be launched. Also, this month a delegation of senior representatives from the European Chamber’s boards and working groups will visit Brussels for the annual meeting with European officials. This is a prime opportunity for the HR working group to deliver the key messages from the 2018/2019 Position Paper and to raise any other significant concerns with European Union representatives.
At the same time, the new revisions to the PRC Individual Income Tax Law are expected to affect both Chinese and foreign nationals staff, which will potentially have an impact on the future agenda of the HR working group.
We encourage as many of our members as possible to attend and have their say in the representation and future priorities of the HR Working Group.

- 09:30-09:40 Welcome remarks by Ms. Rosanna Terminio, National Chair of the Human Resources Working Group
- 09:40-09:55 2018/2019 Position Paper briefing
- 09:55-10:10 EU Tour updates and further input collection from members on current concerns
- 10:10-10:40 Individual Income Tax Law briefing by Ms. Yvonne Li, Vice Chair of the Human Resources Working Group, and roundtable discussion on potential implications for HR
- 10:40-10:50 Call for input from members on working group priorities
- 10:50-11:00 Closing remarks by Ms. Rosanna Terminio, National Chair of the Human Resources Working Group
