Dear Working Group Members,
The Logistics Working Group (WG) is delighted to invite you to the first WG meeting of the new year, which will take place on Tuesday, 26th February 2019, from 14:00 to 16:00.
During this kick-off meeting, we will review the activity of the WG in 2018, and members are strongly encouraged to join the discussion and provide input on the WG’s 2019 advocacy and activity priorities, and Position Paper outline.
In 2018, the Logistics Working Group has made great achievements in engaging both Chinese and European relevant government stakeholders. Besides advocacy, in our 2018 meetings, we have also successfully explored themes such as smart and sustainable transport development and the impact of new technologies on the supply chain and logistics sector.
In the new year, we will continue to engage with government stakeholders and monitor policy changes and general trade facilitation issues, as well as seek opportunities to learn about other developments affecting the logistics industry.
With this occasion, the 2019 Logistics Working Group Chair election will be held. The Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the WG, having a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and coordinating WG meetings and other activities.
Should you be interested in putting your name forward for the Chair election or nominating a candidate, please send a short biography and a motivation letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair and your plans to promote the working group to Ms. Dafei Wu at dwu@europeanchamber.com.cn by Tuesday, 19th February, 2019, COB.
