The Aviation & Aerospace Working Group is pleased to invite you to a workshop on the Aviation & Aerospace Position Paper 2019/2020 on Monday, 18th March 10:00-12:00 at the European Chamber's Beijing Office.
The purpose of the workshop is to discuss the top concerns of the European aviation and aerospace industries in China when it comes to market access and the business environment. Based on the discussion, members will then set the Key Recommendations of this year's report as well as the content and tone of each topic. The Position Paper may repeat the same topics as the previous year, as long as the context is updated.
Members are encouraged to submit their suggested topics in advance to ensure effective discussion.
Please see attached the 2018/2019 Position Paper to review the Key Recommendations from last year:
1. Make the Airworthiness Process more Predictable and Transparent and Ensure Dialogue and Collaboration on Airworthiness While the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA) Enters the Final Phase of Validation.
2. Continue to Increase the Efficient Use of China’s Airspace
3. Enhance Cooperation and Exchanges to Carry Out the Opening of China’s Low-altitude Airspace
The Position Paper forms the basis of the Working Group's engagement with the Chinese and European aviation authorities in the coming year. We encourage as many of our members as possible to attend the meeting to have their voices represented in the advocacy priorities. The Working Group will then submit a Mini PP for review on 29th March.
Should you wish to join the meeting, please register online. Alternatively, you can also register directly with Imogen Page-Jarrett (ipagejarrett@europeanchamber.com.cn).
