Dear Pharmaceutical WG Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Pharmaceutical Working Group Meeting which will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2008 at 2pm at the European Chamber Offices in Beijing and Shanghai.
At this meeting we will finalize the recommendations for the 2008 Position Paper. As the Position Paper forms the basis of all our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to continue consulting widely within their own company in advance of the meeting, in order that the finished version of the Position Paper represents accurately represents the views of European Pharmaceutical companies.
Agenda
1.Position Paper Discussion. A final draft of the 2008 Pharmaceutical WG Position Paper will be circulated for comments. The approved final draft will form the basis for lobbying throughout the year.
2.Challenges facing the R&D based pharmaceutical industry with regard to anticipated radical reforms of the current Chinese pricing regime.
3.Details of possible future meeting with the Beijing Drug Administration.

i) Potential free REACH training for Pharma Working Group companies in July 2007
ii) A short introduction on the EUCCC CSR conference, to be held 2-3 June 2008 in Shanghai.
5.Roundtable Discussion on Current Pharma Developments (to be conducted separately in Beijing and Shanghai).
