Rory has extensive experience developing strategic communications and investor relations programs to enhance corporate reputation and address special situations, including restructuring, M&A, and litigation.
Prior to joining Brunswick in 2013, Rory led the corporate communications and investor relations functions at Suntech Power for more than five years. Rory previously worked for Ogilvy Public Relations in Beijing, where he developed investor relations programs for numerous China-based, US-listed companies including Baidu, New Oriental, Home Inns, Mindray Medical, and AsiaInfo. Rory received Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce degrees from the University of Sydney and is proficient in Mandarin.

Ambassador Gardner has spent more than twenty years of his career advising on U.S.-European affairs, as a government official, lawyer and investor. After a successful career in New York and London, in 2013 he was appointed by President Obama to be US Ambassador to the European Union. In that capacity, he was intimately involved in the transatlantic trade negotiations, as well as data privacy, digital economy, sanctions and energy security.

Anthony served as United States Ambassador to the European Union from March 2014 to January 2017. Prior to this he was Managing Director at a growth capital private equity firm based in London where he managed financing, legal and tax structuring issues related to the firm’s acquisitions and divestitures. Previously, Anthony served in senior roles at Bank of America, GE Capital and GE International, all based in London, as well as at international law firms in London, Paris, New York, and Brussels.

Anthony holds a BA in Government from Harvard University, an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford University, a JD from Columbia Law School, and a Masters in Finance from London Business School. He is also member of the board of directors of Brookfield Business Partners LP and Iberdrola S.A., and senior counsel in the law firm Sidley Austin LLP, where he works in the International Trade and Privacy and Cybersecurity areas. He is also an adviser to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and a member of the advisory boards of the Centre for European Reform, the German Marshall Fund and the European Policy Centre.
