Introduction
At the 19th international conference on liquefied natural gas (LNG) held in April 2018 in Shanghai, Mr. Zhang Jianhua, head of the National Energy Administration, expressed that China's annual LNG receiving capacity has increased significantly in 2018, with an additional annual receiving capacity of more than 10 million tons. At the "2019 International Forum on Clean Power Technology" held in May in Beijing this year, Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, said that global LNG development has been very fast in recent years, and the proportion of LNG facilities under construction in each country exceeds that of pipeline transportation of natural gas. Meanwhile, trade volumes are growing rapidly, especially in Asia. He predicted China will overtake Japan as the world's largest importer of liquefied natural gas. By 2025, nearly 50 countries will import LNG.
In order to address this trending topic and help our members better understand the latest development in LNG sector, we have the honor to have speakers from American and Chinese energy enterprises to share their insights on the LNG market situation.
