Dear Member,

We are very pleased to invite you to a sub-working group meeting on the 21st of May from 8h30 to 10h00 at the European Chamber in Beijing. Depending on the number of people willing to attend the meeting from Shanghai we will set up the video-conference system.

As said during our kick-off meeting, this sub-working group would like to contribute to the Banking Position Paper with a separate caption on Private Equity. Therefore we would like to ask all members to prepare some recommendations they believe are widespread and important for the whole industry.

A recommendation should be outlined in three parts:

Concern: Short sentence of why this is a concern for the industry
Assessment: Background of the rule. Assess the situation - Why is this a problem? Loss of earnings? Loss of market share? The more facts and figures in here, the better. Can be compared with international practice.
Recommendation: Our recommendation to rectify the situation.

We'd be very grateful if members could send their recommendations prior to the meeting to gbellinghen@euccc.com.cn . Please understand that the production of the position paper follows strict deadlines, the final version should be ready for the 23rd of May, therefore we'd highly value members to contribute their recommendations as soon as possible.
