These days a lot of multinational companies are leaving their birthplaces behind. Some found their businesses reshaped after cross-border acquisitions, others are looking for new cities to expand and reinforce their competitiveness.
"Second Home" is a traditional internationalization strategy that helps give companies the competitive edge it requires to do well on a global level. Conducting business across borders is no simple endeavor, but if firms establish themselves in each other’s region as their second home with the status of local insider, rather than of external intruder, this can be very beneficial for the company as a whole.

Prof. Peter Ping Li
Peter Ping Li (Phd, 1991, George Washington University, USA) is Li Dak Sum Chair Professor of International Business at the University of Nottingham at Ningbo China (UNNC). He is also a Research Director for the Greater China Region of US-based center for Creative Leadership (CCL) and also professor of Chinese Business Studies at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark.
Prior to that, he was a professor of International Business at Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University.
Before joining UNNC, CBS and XJTLU he was a professor of Management at the California State University. His primary research focus is on building geocentric (West meeting East) theories from the cultural and historical perspectives, applying the Chinese philosophy of wisdom to the development of holistic, dynamic and dual theories.

Mr. Davide Bruschi
Davide is currently covering the position of President and Managing Director of Casappa Hydraulics Shanghai, and President of Casappa Hydraulics Korea. Casappa Hydraulics Shanghai is the Regional Headquarters of Casappa Group in East-Asia. Casappa, headquartered in Italy, is a medium-sized multinational enterprise focuses on creating value to customers with its Power, Filtration and Electronic Control solutions for Hydraulic Systems of construction and earth moving machines, industrial, material handling and agriculture vehicles. Davide has lived in Shanghai for nearly 15 years. He holds an MBA from Xi’An Jiatong-Liverpool University and an Industrial Management Engineering Degree from Parma University. Now, he is a senior executive with almost 15 years’ experience in general management.
Mr. Gianpietro Belotti

Mr. Gianpietro Belotti
Gianpietro was born in 1975. He earned his degree in Law at the Universita’ degli Studi di Milano (ITA) and later he completed his economic background with Bsc/Msc at the Warwick Business School (UK).
After the studies he Joined the Lonati Group as Hr specialist and at the beginning of 2004 he moved to China to Start up the Lonati-Santoni Venture.
In the 2011 Gianpietro gained its EMBA with the USC/JiaoTong program (USA/CHN) and in 2019 he received the Magnolia Golden Award by the Shanghai City Mayor.
At the moment, under his management there are 6 Chinese entities (Santoni – JingMei – HengShen – QiGuan- Soosan – KingLong) operating in the manufacturing and the finance industry.
Currently he is a board member of the China Textile Machineries Association. He actively cooperates with several Government Programs to spread the Chinese PenJing Culture domestically and abroad. Because of it recently he was awarded with a special honor: Chinese Culture Ambassador.
