Dear Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Refining Working Group Member,
On Monday 7th July, under the organization of the Petrochemical, Chemical and Refining (PCR) Working Group, the Chamber met once again with the well known environmentalist activist, Ma Jun, to learn about activities and discuss possible cooperation with the Chamber. As you may know, Ma Jun has been involved with many of the Chamber's Working Groups that also include CSR, Environment, and Energy.
During the meeting, we have made significant progress, since Ma Jun agreed in principle to be more flexible on the audit and to develop together an acceptable audit protocol for all parties. There is a window open for improvement and the Working Group has to take that chance. In order to proceed, the Chamber wishes to form a small committee to draft and provide comments on the forthcoming draft. Should you be interested in either drafting or providing comments, please inform Tony Brooks: tbrooks@euccc.com.cn by July 14th.
