Jens is a Partner with Deloitte China, responsible for all our service lines and projects related to Multinational (Western) Clients in China. This role comprises the development and delivery of services covering our Audit, Tax, Financial Advisory and Consulting activities. He covers this responsibility for our French clients and contacts within our Deloitte Asia Pacific Region.

He started his career in 1988 in France and is based in Shanghai since 2002. His previous postings included countries as France, Hungary (1991-1994), the US (1994), Vietnam (1995-1997) and Indonesia (1997-1999). With more then 20 years of Asia working experience, he is an experienced and recognized business advisor and auditor, working with Multinational Companies of all sizes for their inbound projects and strategies. In some cases his also assists larger Chinese Groups for their outbound strategies.

He is frequent speaker on Asia and in particular China matters, within our Deloitte Network, Educational Organizations and Programs and our clients, senior management and their Board’s of Directors.

Jens is German national, calling France is home. Married with 3 children.

With a Master’s Degree in International Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Thomas Shao started his career in Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce in 2000. He served as the Chief English Interpreter for Mayor of Shanghai for 7 years before he was promoted to Assistant Director for Foreign Investment Promotion Department in 2007. In 2012, he joined Evonik Degussa China as Senior Manager for Public Policy. In 2014, he joined Abbott as the Associate GA Director. Now he is
GA Director of Abbott China, responsible for policy & strategy and crisis management as well as supporting manufacturing operations in China.

Valtero Canepa, General Manager of Shanghai Bracco Sine Pharmaceuticals Corp., moved to China in early 2013 to manage a JV between Bracco, a medium size Italian company with a leading position in the Contrast Media global market, and Sine, a company of the Shanghai Pharma Group, one of the biggest pharmaceutical Chinese companies. Previously he was in sales, marketing and business development positions in the pharmaceutical, medical devices and healthcare facilities business.

Mr Canepa was elected in April 2016 Vice Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and is Coordinator of the Healthcare Working Group of the CICC since 2014.

In her current role as Area Vice President, Veronica is responsible for all of 3M’s Health Care Business in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Previously she was President and Managing Director of 3M Taiwan. Prior to that, she was the Global Platforms Director for the Medical Solutions Division. Veronica is a transformational and growth-driven business leader. Her successful results have been driven by her ability to influence stakeholders, quickly grasp business needs and create strategies to drive change. A strong leader who develops high performance teams, Veronica identifies the talents of her team and builds on those strengths – always encouraging stretch goals and risk-taking. Over the course of her career, she has successfully paired strategic and operational business experience with strong financial, sales and marketing functional experience. Her business and marketing expertise spans Market Research, New Product Development, Strategic Planning, Pricing, CRM, Portfolio Management, and Brand Management. Veronica began her 3M career in Peru, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in Finance, Sales, Sales Management, Country Business Leadership, Corporate Marketing & Public Affairs, and Customer Service. In 2002, Veronica joined 3M Corporate Marketing as Marketing and Strategic Planning Manager for Latin America and Africa. In 2004, she was appointed Global Marketing Operations Manager for 3M ESPE. In 2008, she was named Global Business Director for Restorative Dental Products, and in 2010 she assumed the responsibility of Global Business Director for C3SD Acute Care Business. In 2013, she was appointed Business Development Director, Health Care Business for Latin America. Veronica has been actively involved in supporting women’s leadership and community programs. In 2019, She was the chair the American Heart Association chapter for women. Veronica holds a Business Administration degree in Marketing and Finance from the Universidad del Pacifico, in Lima, Peru.
