In today's global marketplace, supply chain disruptions pose a significant threat to businesses of any size. Risks can arise from increasingly destructive natural disasters, cyber-attacks, or geopolitical actions. Unforeseen factors that cannot be controlled could influence the cost of goods, delay or prevent deliveries, and negatively impact the budget of the most well-prepared organization. These tips can help your business identify and prepare for common supply chain disruptions.
Recent outbreak of COVID-19 has a great impact on companies operating in China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce Nanjing chapter have invited excellent speakers to share experience on how the outbreak disrupted supply chains.
The webinar will be structured as a panel discussion where besides the chair, a representative of a manufacturing OEM, a supplier and a service provider participate.
The organizations of the participating speakers fulfill different roles within the manufacturing supply chain, and thus have experienced the disruptions within the supply chain as a result of COVID-19 from a different perspective.
· the OEM is top level recipient of all parts and commodities out of the supply chain
· the supplier must manage both deliveries upstream and is dependent for parts and commodities from his suppliers
· the service provider supports both OEM and supplier companies, mostly in the fields of procurement, quality management, operational efficiency, and effectiveness
