Agenda
1．Election of new Working Group Chair and Vice Chair.
2. 2008/2009 Position Paper. Publication and requests for meetings with MOH and SFDA to discuss key recommendations.
3. Top issues for Trade Commissioner Peter Mandelson to lobby on during late September 2008 visit to China. Details of meeting with Chinese minister Chen Deming (EU-China High Level Dialogue Mechanism). Also feedback on the annual Brussels Circuit, whereby EU Chamber representatives brief Brussels politicians (including Mr. Mandelson) on the Position Paper.
4. Distribution: EU Commission request for briefing on distribution issues as non-tariff barriers (NTBs) as they affect EU Pharmaceutical companies operating in China.
5. Enhanced cooperation with EFPIA.
6. SFDA: Next step in cooperation with SFDA (Beijing).
7. AOB:
a) Dates for Working Group meetings, including proposed presentations on Pharma issues.
b) Updates to key dates calendar.
8. Presentation on R & D entitled “R & D in China for Pharma Companies - The Way Ahead” (by Charles Mayo and Lewis Ho from Simmons & Simmons Law Firm).
9. Discussion on current Pharma developments (to be conducted separately in Beijing and Shanghai).
