At the heart of the State Council’s Rise of Central China Strategy, Hubei is one of China’s fastest developing provinces. The establishment of Hubei Pilot Free Trade Zone is a major strategy to promote reform and opening-up. Initially the epicenter and the worst-hit province of the coronavirus, Hubei is now witnessing an accelerated economic recovery. The province has lifted the restrictions and life has come back to normal. This year, Hubei is holding the 2021 Cherry Blossom Festival from 23-25 March, and during which a series business events will be held to foster the exchange of views and explore business opportunities.
To facilitate a first-hand exchange, the European Chamber will organize a delegation to visit Hubei from 23rd to 25th March, and calls for the registration of all interested members from across the Chamber. This trip consists of high-level meetings with provincial leaders, seminars on free-trade zone, business matchmaking activities with local business leaders, as well as East Lake Cherry Blossom Tour. For more information, please find attached the document. Besides the general activities, exclusive high-level meetings between provincial and municipal leadership and Chamber senior business representative are planned on 23rd March.
Please note that the registration fee per delegate is RMB 1,500. Flight, local transportation cost will be borne by delegates themselves. EXCO members may waive the registration fee. Considering the unpredictability of COVID-19, the final agenda and arrangements might subject to changes.
This Hubei trip is designed to provide premium experience for each individual interest group, therefore the seats are limited. Please RSVP.
