Event review
This morning at the Sofitel Hyland Hotel, on Nanjing East Road in Shanghai, KPMG gave an informative and interesting seminar on the Chinese Automotive industry.
Cheng Chi talked about Transfer Pricing and how it affects the automotive industry in a downturn. Thomas Stanley then discussed how the automotive industry in China was coping with the downturn, focusing on passenger as well as commercial vehicles. Fergal Power analysed the importance of cash in the industry at the current time, with particular attention on cash management and forecasting.
Andrew Thompson then fielded questions from the audience with his colleagues, to discuss issues ranging from R&D in a downturn to the current status of GM's joint ventures.
