The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter is delighted to invite you to participate a practice exchange between the EU business nation-wide,which is taking place on Thursday, June 24th at Novo Nordisk (Tianjin) factory, one of the biggest pharmaceutical manufacturers in Tianjin.
The half-day meeting will be a practical and informative exchange of insights and practices among the EU businesses, industrial experts, working-level government officials, and third-party carbon neutral service providers from Tianjin and many other cities, on the topics of national carbon market, group decarbonization goals, roadmaps on local carbon-neutral implementation and possible solutions.
Local renewable energy planning and access has been one of the most important topics attracting the attention of the EU business. State Grid Tianjin Branch is the institution who makes the renewable energy plan of the 14th Five-Year-Plan for Tianjin, they have accepted the Chamber’s invitation and will share the plan background and some local trial projects of renewable energy, as well as their newly released(in March 2021)“30 measures on energy services for supporting enterprises’ high-quality development” in detail at the meeting.
>> Background: The European Chamber sees green development as one of the key topics in recent years. Energy, transportation and manufacturing are the three main sectors which have huge impact on China’s “30,60” carbon neutral goals.
Tianjin chapter has around 100 local member companies up to now, among which over 80% are the EU manufacturers that either have received or are going to have clear local decarbonization goals in the very near future. Carbon neutrality and specifically green energy has turned into a focus topic since 2020.
In order to contribute for a better business environment, the European Chamber Tianjin Chapter has been doing government meetings, GM roundtables, dialogues with stakeholders on related topics including decarbonization strategies and targets, local green energy access, carbon neutral solutions regularly.
