Dear Members,
We are delighted to invite you to attend our Working Group Meeting to be held this Thursday February 26th, 8h30 - 10h00 at our offices in Beijing.
Shanghai members can join in the meeting by video conference.
At this meeting we are delighted to welcome executive director Rock Shi from the Bohai fund. He will introduce us to the key challenges and opportunities industrial funds face. Thanks to Jeff Lin and George Ren to have made this meeting possible.
As you may know, the Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. These honorary positions represent a tremendous opportunity to represent the Working Group at very senior levels.
The Working Group has been established as a national Working Group having its meetings alternatively in Beijing and Shanghai. In order to make this group better and to share the workload between the Chair and Vice Chair the Chamber will open an additional position for Vice Chair in Shanghai. We would like to invite those, particularly fund managers, active in Shanghai, who want to get more deeply involved in the working group to make themselves known and contact us directly and outline briefly the topics they would like to develop. Many thanks in advance for making this group better and more interesting for us all! The elections for the Vice Chair position in Shanghai will take place at our meeting on Thursday 26th March.
At our meeting in Beijing this Thursday will have the elections for Chair and Vice Chair.
