Following two well received seminars focusing on Maintenance Management held on September 19th 2008 & December 4th 2008, a need has been identified to provide another Forum in addition to the existing Human Resources, Finance & Taxation and Sourcing Forums.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PLATFORM
More and more top executives insist on a workable maintenance strategy that is aligned with an overall corporate strategy. The objective of the Maintenance Forum would be to provide a platform for exchange of best practice in this field. The forum will provide a regular opportunity for discussion of potential problems and new opportunities, specifics for improvement of maintenance and production, quality improvement, complete coverage of current maintenance practices, processes, process aids, interfaces and strategies, as well as personal and personnel development strategies.
In this first meeting as a Forum, we will hold a chair elections and decide on the coming topics for the platform.

An initial interest has been expressed in the following areas:
· Contractors (mostly how to groom/manage quality contractors) including specialized workshops etc
· Spare parts management
· Regulations (e.g. calibration of pressure gauges)
· Analysis of equipment end-of-life.
