Dear Environment WG members:
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Environment Working Group Meeting which will be held on 11th March at 09:00 at the European Chamber Office in Shanghai.
At this meeting we will hold 2009 Environment Working Group Chair Elections. Our current Chairman Frederic Grivel will be stepping down from this role as he is relocating to Hong Kong. We would like to thank Frederic for his unwavering support of the Environment WG and his enthusiasm and commitment in establishing and driving the WG forward.
As you may know, the Enviornment Working Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. These honorary positions represent a tremendous opportunity represent the Environment Working Group at very senior levels.
( Chair responsibilities 2009 and Chair Election Best Practice)
