Following the encouraging news we sent to you yesterday on the new Travel Agency Regulation, which set capital requirements for foreign investors in inbound service at the same level with local ones, we are glad to let you know that the Chamber’s President, Mr. Joerg Wuttke will be calling on the Vice Chairman, Zhu Shanzhong of CNTA at 10:20 am, Tuesday, 24 March 2009.

As CNTA is the direct regulator for the travel sector in China, the Travel Working Group will have a limited number of seats available to our members for this important meeting. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn on the first-hand from CNTA about the new law and their current stands on outbound tourism. As you can understand, the slots are limited (around 1 -2) and registration will be done strictly on first-come-first-served basis.
