Dear SME Forum Member,
The EUCCC is pleased to invite you to the next SME Forum meeting on Thursday, 2nd April at noon 12.00.
Proposed Agenda:
1/ Elections
2/ Brief overview of how SME are confronting the general challenges, by ICSME, followed by group discussion
3/ 2008 Review & 2009 Action Plan
4/ Lunch & Networking
At this meeting we will hold the 2009 SME Forum Elections. As you may know, the Forum Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Forum which includes identifying the key concerns of business sectors, drafting the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, developing and promoting the Forum activities in coordination with the BM. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Forum is also highly valued. These honorary positions represent a tremendous opportunity represent the SME Forum at very senior levels. Also attached is a PDF on the role of Chair and Vice Chair.
We're pleased to announce that Mr.Marcus Wassmuth (LBBW), current Shanghai Chair, has graciously expressed his willingness to continue in the role. However, he along with the Chamber Secretariat encourage any other member who may be interested to also put forth his/her candidature for this year's position. Any member who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is therefore kindly requested to inform the Chamber by contacting Ms. Adele Wang at abwang@euccc.com.cn by 31st March COP.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting and would appreciate if you could register with Ms.Davina de Smet at dsmet@euccc.com.cn by COP 31st March. Thank you for your continuous support and engagement with the SME Forum and the EUCCC.
