The Human Resources Working Group is pleased to invite you to the meeting “Why Corporate Culture and Communication Matter when Adopting New Technologies”, which is taking place on Wednesday, 23 March, 10:00 to 12:00 (GMT+8:00, China time) at the European Chamber’s Shanghai office, as well as online via Zoom. At this meeting, we will also hold the 2022 chair elections.
The first part of this meeting will consist of a sharing by Rosanna Terminio, PhD Candidate at Catalonia Open University and Managing Partner at AsecorpChina Business Consulting. The IFR Positioning Paper on Robots and The Workplace of the Future (March 2018) predict a future where the company competitive advantages will depend on the ability to design and implement processes in which human and machines can collaborate working together. “A higher variety of tasks, work in multi-disciplinary teams, de-centralized management structures, and workers autonomy in task and process planning and decision-making are all attributed of the job profiles that will result from a focus on effective human-cyber-physical systems” (IFR, Positioning Paper March 2018). Applying the right communication strategy can make the difference in fostering a learning culture in the organization. This can minimize the impact of resistance and motivate people to acquire the new skills necessary for an efficient digital transformation. Why? The speaker will try to answer this question by sharing part of her doctoral research which is still in process.
The second part of this meeting will consist of the 2022 chair elections and 2022 HR Position Paper (PP) discussion. Candidates running for the elections will introduce themselves and their goals for the Human Resources Working Group over the following 12 months. Only Human Resources WG members who had their registration confirmed for this meeting will have the right to vote in person or online, with one vote per company. Online voting instructions will be sent via email to individual attendees prior to the meeting.
