The European Chamber’s ILS Working Group is delighted to invite you to its next working group meeting “Overview of 2021 Shipping Industry and Embracing Challenges, PP discussion and Chair Elections” which is going to take place on Monday 21st March, 14.00-16.00 pm.
In this meeting, we will share with you a summary of our advocacy work in 2021, our chair and vice-chair will share with you the overview of 2021 Shipping Industry, including supply chain disruptions, crisis management, future trends under the geo-politics tensions etc, and we will discuss the ILS Working Group Position Paper 2022/23 and hold 2022-2023 WG Chair Elections.
The Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group, which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the WG Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and steering Working Group meetings. We encourage as many of our members as possible to attend to have their say in the leadership and representation of the Working Group in the year ahead.

Kindly notice that as our meeting rooms in Beijing office are fully occupied on 21st March, unfortunately, for Beijing attendances we only have onlince access. For Shanghai attendances, the access is availble for both online and offline.
For the members wishing to attend remotely, please note that you will receive a confirmation email containing the link to join the meeting via Zoom after registration closes on the 14th March.
Should you be interested in putting your name forward for election, please send your CV and Motivation Letter, stating whether you intend to run for Chair or Vice Chair to Ms. Nan Song at nsong@europeanchamber.com.cn by latest Monday 14th March. In your Motivation Letter please state why your wish to be elected Chair or Vice Chair and provide a set of goals you have for the WG over the next 12 months as well as your intended contribution to the Position Paper. To familiarise yourself with the Code of Conduct and responsibilities as chairs, please refer to the attached Starter Kit.
