Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber has been invited by General Administration of Customs (GAC) to participate in the business climate survey in the context of the current economic recession for members to complete. Please kindly find enclosed the questionnaire in both English and Chinese.
Furthermore, there will be a meeting opportunity with GAC proposed on Wednesday 22nd April, 3-5pm in Beijing, attending this meeting there will be members from European Chamber’s Working Groups.
Proposed Agenda:
Ÿ What are the biggest difficulties and impacts brought about by the financial crisis to your business engaged in international trade, particularly in the trade with China?
Ÿ What are the specific needs that the business of your home country has in relation to the work of China Customs?
Ÿ What are the measures of international cooperation that you think China Customs can put into place to help enterprises cope with the economic recession?
Ÿ Other issues of common interest
The European Chamber will be preparing the consolidated comments. Should you wish to have your company’s comments included in the European Chamber’s consolidation (as always individual comments will remain anonymous) we kindly ask you to provide your feedback to Ms. Chanelle Hong at hong@euccc.com.cn by COB Monday 20st April and secondly please register your interest of participating at the meeting with GAC by COB Friday 17th April.
