1/ HR Forum Meeting:
We are delighted to invite you to the next HR Forum meeting which will take place on Thursday, May 7th at 9am at the European Chamber Office in Shanghai. This meeting will include a presentation on “Functionality & Service Scope” by Ms. Meng Haiyan, Vice Chair of Pudong Jinqiao HR Association.
Agenda
1. Presentation by Ms. Meng Haiyan, Vice Chair of Pudong Jinqiao HR Association on Functionality & Service Scope.
2. Cooperation with Benelux Cham and the Austrian Chamber.
3. Drafting of the 2009 HR Position Paper.
4. Shanghai Government interpretation of the Implementation Rules for the Labour Contract Law.
5. Debrief the return visit to Shanghai Trade Union Federation on May 6th.
6. Notice on receiving or extending business visas recently
The European Chamber has been contacted by several members expressing their concern over the difficulty in receiving or extending business visas recently. The Chamber is following the issue closely and wants to know whether you have heard or encountered similar problems. This meeting has just been confirmed with Chariman Liu Weixin of the Shanghai Trade Union Federation for Wednesday 6th May at 0930, at the Federation offices on the Bund.
