Dear Pharmaceutical WG Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Pharmaceutical WG meeting which will take place on Friday, April 24th at 2 pm at the European Chamber Office in Beijing and Shanghai.
At this meeting we will have a presentation on the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), given by Louis-Nicolas Fortin. There will also be a debrief on the visit by DG Enterprise and Industry to Beijing earlier this month, as well as in depth discussions on the content for this year's Pharmaceutical Working Group Position Paper.
Agenda:
1. Introduction to the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), by Louis-Nicolas Fortin (by telephone link).
2. Key Recommendations for the 2009/2010 Position Paper (PP). Deadlines for submission of the PP. Discussion of overall theme and tone of the PP. Submission of first and second drafts of the Position Paper.
3. Debrief on visit by the Head of the Pharma Unit from DG Enterprise and Industry, as well as representatives from EFPIA to Beijing, April 2009. Other key dates for 2009.
4. Announcement of Healthcare Reform Policy. Discussion of implications for Pharma companies.
5. Survey of industry sentiment in the European Pharma industry.
6. AOB.
