The instructor and Eddic teaching assistant will work together to complete the training. Participants are required to complete the learning tasks in accordance with the course curriculum, follow the instructions of the instructor and teaching assistants, and actively participate in the interaction.

• Teaching Platform

The self-education platform for the recorded class is via Xiao E Tech (students' account login), the live interaction is via Zoom (the teaching assistant releases the login ID before the class), and the class information and communication is via the WeChat group (Eddic creates a special group for learning). Students should have a stable network when studying.

3. Can I learn Power BI though I have zero experience?

Sure, Power BI is positioned to allow anyone to easily handle big data, self-service intelligent analysis tools.

4. Why should I learn Power BI?

Power BI is derived from Excel, which means it is easy to get started. It doesn't require you to master a computer language like VBA or SQL to get started. Because this software was originally developed for non-IT people, the easy operation and user-friendly interface design greatly lower the learning threshold. Secondly, it is created by Microsoft, and there is a strong team operating this product. With this strong backing, it has a complete ecology, seamlessly integrated with Office software, and can interface with most common databases on the market, which makes it easy and fast for analysts who do not know to program but have data analysis skills and business intuition to extract, clean, and integrate various data sources (MySQL, Salesforce, and so on.) and create complex data. 5. What work problems can Power BI solve?

②Varying requirements of periodic reports: quarterly reports require workers to change the dimensions such as the month, product, channel, geography, and other dimensions, leading to the need to make a new report; requirements of producing KPI and dashboard display data by week, month and quarter; long development cycles for automated data support from IT departments; lack of the knowledge of VBA statements or SQL query language to master the advanced data applications.

③The need for presentation with data visualization: the basic graphics provided by Excel cannot meet the needs, the graphics such as maps, tree charts, waterfall charts, and Pareto charts is time-consuming while to beautify charts by modifying coordinates, colors, and data labels need interactive analysis to conduct analyze from multiple perspectives; the need to share reports to others and want others to read them on their cell phones or tablets.

4.为什么要学Power BI？

5. Power BI能解决什么工作问题？

①有大量重复性的手工整理数据工作：定期抓取数据，需要对格式做重复性修改(改日期格式、分列、去重、合并等)；数据量较大，处理几十兆的Excel文件和超百万行数据，Excel出现了崩溃和卡顿情况；使用多个数据源，手工复制粘贴来合并，或者经常用vlook up/index/match等函数把多表数据合并到一张表中。

②周期性报告的需求多变:季度要求变月份、产品、渠道、地域等维度，导致报告重做；需要定期按周、月、季度制作KPI和仪表板展示数据；向IT部门提交的自动化数据支持需求开发周期长或者无法及时满足；高级数据应用需要懂VBA语句或者SQL查询语言。

③需要用数据可视化来讲故事：Excel提供的基本图形无法满足需求，如地图、树状图、瀑布图、帕累托图等；修改坐标、颜色、数据标签等美化图表的工作耗时；需要交互式分析来多角度分析；经常分享报告给他人，希望别人在手机或平板电脑上也可以阅读。
