On 21st April, a Chamber delegation headed by the Chairman of the Chamber's Public Procurement Working Group visited the offices of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to meet with the Division Director from the Department of Laws and Regulations at the NDRC. Representatives from the European Chamber's Healthcare Equipment, Lighting, Construction and Energy Working Group also attended the meeting. During the discussion, two sides exchanged views on how to increase the fairness and transparency of China's current public procurement system from a legislative point of view, and how to fight against protectionism in the global financial crisis.
