Prior to joining Deloitte, Roger had been serving in the Customs authorities for over 15 years, with rich experience in various departments, such as inspection, trade commodity control, customs clearance, customs audit. Roger has extensive experiences in customs classification, customs valuation, rules of origin, processing trade relief, customs duty reduction and exemption, customs audit and enterprise management.

Roger is particularly well known for customs clearance inspection and customs audit. Roger worked on various significant operational reforms in Customs, e.g., Customs Reform of Paperless Clearance and, Shanghai Free Trade Zone Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP). Since he joined Deloitte, he has been providing services to many MNC clients on Customs audit defense, valuation and other advisory cases.
After joining Deloitte, Roger has assisted a number of clients in many different industries for AEO application, Customs audit negotiation, Customs tax planning (i.e. FTA analysis), Health check and Voluntary Disclosure to meet the requirement both of compliance and cost saving.
