On the 17th June, European Chamber Cosmetics Working Group met with Director General Tong Min, Food Licensing Department of State Food & Drug Administration (SFDA) as well as other officials from his Dept to address cosmetics issues of industry concern. The two sides discussed extensively on issues and suggestions regarding product registration, Asbestos test standards and future regulatory trend for cosmetic products and raw material. Director General Tong spoke highly the Chamber and its member’s roles in improving the cosmetics regulatory system in China.  Follow-up meetings/events focusing on specific technical issues were agreed between the two parties.
