Dear Working Group Members,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the upcoming Legal and Competition Working Group kick-off meeting and Chair election 2023/2024, 10:00 to 11:30 in European Chamber Beijing and Shanghai office (Zoom online access is also provided).
During the working group meeting, working group activities annual review, advocacy workplan 2023/2024 and Position Paper 2023/2024 will be addressed. Members are strongly encouraged to join the discussion and provide feedbacks on the working group’s workplan and activity priorities, and Position Paper outline. With this occasion, the Legal and Competition Working Group Chair election 2023/2024 will be held.

Chair Election 2023/2024
Following the call for candidates, we are pleased to announce the members who have put their names forward for Chair election 2023/2024:
Chair Position Candidate:

Vice Chair Positions Candidates (in Alphabetical Order):
- Mr Adrian Emch, Partner of Hogan Lovells
- Ms Beijue Tang, Head of Legal &Tax of Würth China
- Dr Michael Tan, Partner of Taylor Wessing (also Shanghai Local Chair Position Candidate)
The Working Group Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Group. The responsibilities of Chairpersons include taking a leading role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European governments and steering Working Group meetings. The duration of the term for both Chairs and Vice Chairs is one year.
