Energy Working Group Meeting
2.00-4.00pm Thursday, 26th February 2009
EUCCC Beijing Office
Dear Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Energy Working Group Meeting which will be held on Thursday 26th February 2pm – 4pm at the European Chamber Office in Beijing.
At this meeting we will hold the 2009 Energy Working Group Elections.
As you may know, the Energy Working Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued. These honorary positions represent a tremendous opportunity represent the Energy Working at very senior levels.
Anyone who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is therefore kindly requested to inform the Chamber, adunnett@euccc.com.cn, by 23rd February.
In addition, we will also debrief you on the preparations for the Position Paper for 2009. As the Position Paper forms the basis of all our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to consult widely within their own company so that they can table possible new recommendations for the 2009 Paper.
