Dear Working Group members,

 The Auto Components Working Groups are pleased to invite you to the working group meeting “Roadmap and Action plan for Automotive Components Decarbonization”, which is taking place on Thursday, 20th July 2023, 15:00 -16:30, in European Chamber Shanghai Office and Online.

European Green Deal will transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy, ensuring: no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050, economic growth decoupled from resource use no person and no place left behind. For auto industry,  during COP26, 6 Vehicle OEMs committed to achieving zero emission in the whole life cycle by 2040. For Auto components suppliers also to faced the great challenge in this aspect, how to meet the requirements of OEM clients, how to reduce the carbon emission in the manufacturing process,   and how to calculate and reduce carbon emissions in the aftermarkets. To help our member to better understand this topic, our working group invite Mr. Paulson Wei , General Manager of DEKRA China Certification and Business Assurance, to conduct a sharing section about Roadmap and Action plan for Automotive Components Decarbonization.

韦斌生拥有浙江大学管理学院工商管理学硕士。现任DEKRA德凯集团中国认证与业务保障总经理。全面负责低碳领域的相关检验检测认证业务，其主要研究方向涉及：产品碳足迹核算、碳中和与碳排放管理解决方案、绿色工厂认证、零碳工厂认证、ESG、绿色供应链与绿色制造、可持续发展等。
Paulson Wei, Senior Engineer
Paulson Wei has MBA from Zhejiang University School of Management. He is currently the General Manager of Certification and Business Assurance, DEKRA. He is fully responsible for the relevant testing, inspection and certification business in the decarbonization field, whose main research directions include: product carbon footprint accounting, carbon neutralization and carbon emission management solutions, green factory certification, zero-carbon factory certification, ESG, green supply chain and green manufacturing, sustainable development, etc.
