The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to announce that the third session in the Insight China Seminar series will be held in Beijing on 11th November.
China’s monetary and fiscal policies have not only averted the economy’s collapse, according to the latest figures China’s economy grew 8.9% in Q3 y-o-y basis while the major western economies are still struggling. Has China’s government overreacted to the downfall? The explosion of lending has boosted the infrastructure projects eventually exacerbating the looming overcapacity leading to increasing trade tensions. Can China grow without its addiction to banks liquidity flooding into the system? Is history repeating itself and will taxpayers have to bailout the banks again?
During the two previous Insight China events our speakers insisted on rebalancing growth, stimulating domestic consumption, liberalizing the services industry… join us on November 11th and hear from Stephen Roach, Ardo Hansson and Chen Xingdong how China should navigate in this increasingly complex situation.
At the occasion of this Insight China Autumn session, and thanks to the Bookworm, Stephen S. Roach latest book “The Next Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Globalization” will be available for sale.
Stay ahead of the curve by joining us for discussion with our high level panel:
