Are you ready to elevate your managerial skills to the next level? The Managerial Acceleration Programme (MAP) is a dynamic curriculum aiming to equip mid-level and senior managers, as well as forward-thinking entrepreneurs, with the knowledge and tools to thrive in today’s ever-evolving business landscape.
MAP focuses on three pivotal elements that define the modern business environment: sustainability, digitalisation, and agility. These elements are not just buzzwords; they are the driving forces behind success in the contemporary world of business.
To give deeper insight into MAP, a Master Class will be taking place on the 24th January, on workplace and happiness.
This workshop will demonstrate how MAP is structured, including the contents, teaching methods, targets, learning outcomes, and the trainers who will deliver the programme.
Happiness at Work
Background
Happiness has been widely studies in psychology, economics, and other social sciences over recent decades. Happiness is an important measure for well-being, in addition to objective well-being measures such as GDP per capita and poverty rates. Policy-makers worldwide increasingly see happiness as an important and overarching objective of public policy. With encouragement from the OECD, nearly all its member states now measure the happiness of their people annually.
What is Happiness?
'Happiness' is the general expression used to cover a range of individual self-reports of moods and life assessments. It is often used interchangeably with “subjective well-being.” Researchers usually collect happiness data from individual surveys. Recently researchers also conduct semantic analysis to infer happiness from social media data.
Objectives
Literature shows that, besides economic factors, social, political and natural factors environment can affect happiness. Moreover, one’s happiness can also affect his/her behaviours and choices. As working is one of the most important activities in people’s lives, it is important to learn how work is related to workers’ happiness and how workers’ happiness may affect work outcomes. Research has found many interesting findings.
