Dear Working Group member,
We are delighted to invite you to attend our next Working Group meeting to be held on Thursday, November 19, starting at 8:30 am at our office in Beijing.
At this meeting we will have the honor and pleasure to welcome Ms. Darlene MacNeill and Mr. Ray Zhang, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu to give a presentation on the latest changes brought by Caishui No. 111 affecting the Business Tax rules.
We are sad to announce that Mr. Carl Van Der Elst, Vice-Chair of the Banking & Securities Working Group, has informed us that due to a change of responsibilities at Deutsche Bank he will not be able to offer the necessary time to the Chamber. He therefore decided to offer to be replaced as Vice-Chair. We would like to thank him for the great commitment with the European Chamber; Carl represented the Banking Group at various lobby meetings (including the Brussels Circuit), has immensely contributed to the Position Paper and has always been of great support for the Chamber secretariat. We will sure miss him as much as he’ll miss us!
We will therefore organize elections at the next meeting.
We are delighted to announce that Mr. Jens Ruebbert, Executive Vice President at Deutsche Bank, kindly offered to replace Carl as Vice-Chair of the Group. Jens has since his arrival at the Chamber been involved in numerous Chamber lobby activities in his Advisory Council Member role and also presented the Group’s Posistion Paper during the Brussels and London Circuits this year.
Should any other member be interested in a role of Vice-Chair for the Banking & Securities Working Group, please inform Gregory Van Bellinghen, gbellinghen@euccc.com.cn by the end of this week.
Please find attached a job description for the Chair person.
