With the boom of the digital economy, the need for cross-border and outbound data transfer is rapidly growing. Since the implementation of the Measures for Security Assessment for Outbound Data Transfer on 1st September 2022, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has issued a number of relevant policies such as the Guidelines for the Application for Security Assessment for Outbound Data Transfer, Guidelines for Filing the Standard Contract for Outbound Transfer of Personal Information, and the Provisions on Promoting and Regulating Cross-border Data Flow, with an aim toprovide better guidance and assistance to enterprises engaging in cross-border data transfer activities.
In light of this, the European Chamber will be hosting an exclusive offline seminar for its members on the interpretation of the cross-border data transfer (CBDT) policies and its implementation guidance. We are pleased to announce that Mr YANG Haijun, the chief engineer of the Cyberspace Administration of Shanghai Municipality will be the honoured speaker of this seminar.
For making the event efficient in addressing members’ concerns and needs, please include your questions regarding CBDT compliance in the registration form. These questions will be given priority during the Q&A session.
