Dear Working Group members,
We would like to invite you to the next meeting of the Finance & Taxation Working Group to take place in our Beijing office on Tuesday, 19th January, starting at 9am.
Agenda:
1) Presentation from Simon Tan, Deloitte (Shanghai F&T WG Chair) on SAT Circular 698 - tax on gains from sale of shares (direct and indirect sale) by foreign companies in China + discussion/Q&A
2) Debrief on the 17th November 2009 meeting with Mr. Wang Li, Deputy Commissioner of SAT from Pierre Wiehn, Gide Loyrette Nouel (Beijing F&T WG Vice-Chair) and Anna Ding, BASF (Shanghai F&T WG Vice-Chair) + discussion of follow-up action to be taken (Please find the minutes of the meeting attached and note that SAT requested that we elaborate on our key concerns in a number of separate specific papers – WG members input on what issues to focus on will be welcome)
This meeting will be jointly held with the Shanghai F&T WG, who will join via video-conference. You, or any Shanghai-based colleagues, are welcome to attend from our Shanghai office (Unit 2204, Shui On Plaza, 333 Huai Hai Zhong Road).
