CSR Forum and Environment Working Group, Shanghai
Dear Members,
We would like to provide you with the following information:
1. Invitation for a Combined CSR Forum + Environment Working Group meeting – Very interesting speaker
On Monday 25th of January, 09:00 we will have a very interesting Working Group meeting. Ms. HU Jing 胡静, Project Manager for Shanghai Environmentally Friendly City Initiative, Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences (SAES) has offered to give us a presentation about:
“Guidelines for Sustainable Development of Shanghai Enterprise”
SAES is a unit in the Shanghai Environment Protection Bureau (SEPB).See attached my earlier mail to you of 15-12 (SEPB website link, pdf version of the Guidelines and more information)
This is truly a unique opportunity to get informed about these Guidelines and how you can participate in this UNEP-supported initiative.
2. The Chamber will then also give you, as your Groups earlier requested, an overview of the Chinese Government, both national and local, in the field of Environment. Please register your attendance as soon as possible with Jasper Zhang, Fzhang@euccc.com.cn
3. Invitation to send in your questions regarding concerns on EXPO2010 regulations
The European Chamber is collecting questions and recommendations about EXPO 2010 measures in Shanghai. We would like to know your questions seeking clarification or concerns towards upcoming / existing regulations, e.g. logistical limitations or factory production measures that will be issued by the government during the EXPO.
We aim to deliver the messages to the corresponding government bodies and seek for clarifications. You can raise your questions during our meeting or send your issues and suggestions to our Government Affairs Manager, Ms. Adele Wang at abwang@euccc.com.cn
4. Plan 2010
You will be given the opportunity to raise your most pressing issues for the coming year. This is your chance to put your issues forward on which the Chamber will focus in the coming year.
5. Siemens Integrity Initiative: Fighting Corruption and Fraud. The European Chamber intends to express interest in this initiative.
