Dear Auto Components Working Group Member,
The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Working Group Meeting which will be held on February 26th from 9am - 10.30 am in the EUCCC Shanghai Office.
At this meeting we will hold the 2010 AC Working Group Elections, discuss the planned member survey regarding IP/Legal hostility and Knowledge protection in China and possible recommendations for the 2010/11 Position Paper.
Tentative Agenda
1. Chair/ Vice Chair Election
2. Discussion of member survey concerning IP/Legal hostility and Knowledge
protection
3. Discussion on upcoming Position Paper 2010/11 and time line
4. AOB
As you may know, the Chair and Vice Chair play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued (a general job description is attached).
Currently, Mr. Bernd Pichler is a candidate for Chair and Mr Dan Fitzsimmons and Mr Xavier Dorin Blanchard are candidates for Vice Chairs.
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is also welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, sykim@euccc.com.cn, by COB February 23, 2010.
In addition, we will also begin our discussions on the Position Paper for 2010/11. As the Position Paper forms the basis of our lobbying, members are strongly encouraged to consult widely within their own company in advance so that they can then table such recommendations for discussion at this meeting. For your reference, please find attached the 2009/10 AC WG Position Paper.
Please register your attendance at the next AC WG meeting by emailing Mr. Christian Trost Rasmussen at crasmussen@euccc.com.cn until COB February 25, 2010.
