Travel Working Group Meeting to Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration to Present Position Paper 09/10 25th February 2010
On the 25th February 2010, the European Chamber delegation led by President Joerg Wuttke met with Mr. Zhu Shanzhong, Vice Chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) to present the Position Paper 09/10. The two parties discussed about the pilot scheme for opening up of outbound travel for foreign travel operators in China, the impact of Order No. 31 - The establishment of foreign-owned travel agency interim provisions which concerns the abolish of Order 19, 20 and 25 jointly issued by CNTA and Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM). Further, the date of issuance of implementation rules for Travel Agency Regulation (TAR) was also discussed. Two parties also discussed on the general tourism market and Vice Chairman Zhu also invited the Travel Working Group to approach CNTA and its relevant departments for any clarification on existing or future policies and they will be pleased to respond. Cooperation will further strengthen between the European Chamber and CNTA.
