Dear Working Group Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the Consumer Finance Sub-Working Group meeting to be held on March 9th 2010, starting at 08:30 at the European Chamber’s Office in Beijing (please refer to the address above) and with the Shanghai office joining via video conference.
At this meeting, we will have a presentation on the recent developments of the Pawnshop industry. The speaker is still to be confirmed. You will be informed in due time. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
As you may know, the Consumer FInance Sub-Working Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chairs are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group. Previous participation in the Working Group is also highly valued.
Currently, Mr. Miroslav Kolesar (Czech PPF) is a candidate for Chair and Mr. Raphael Goue (Europraxis) and Mr. Pascal Nouvellon (Cofidis) are candidates for Vice Chair in Beijing and Shanghai respectively.
Anyone else who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or Vice Chair is also welcome and kindly requested to inform the Chamber, lleger@euccc.com.cn, by noon March 3rd.
